Filled vs. Unfilled

Travertine is naturally porous with visible holes. Filled travertine has been resin-filled for a smoother surface — best for countertops and interior floors. Unfilled travertine has an open, rustic texture — popular for exterior and pool areas.

ℹ️

Seam Staining Precaution

Vein Cut Ivory can absorb oils from fabrication adhesives, potentially causing darkening along seams and edges. Ask your fabricator to seal all cut edges with an impregnating sealer before applying adhesive, and to use a non-staining epoxy rated for natural stone. This simple precaution prevents most seam-staining issues.
